I hope to see some babblers there!? Please introduce yourself to me if you come, I'd love to meet you!? I'll be the one wandering around making sure things are running smoothly at the ticket tables and such. :)

I'll be there. Any babblers want to sit with superstar mod moi? Tongue out

I'm actually grabbing dinner ahead of time in Chinatown, so seriously, if anyone wants to have dinner then go, let me know. Michelle, I figure you'll be working and running about beforehand.

What's wrong with our newspapers?

As they say on "Mythbusters"..... There's yer problem.....

My Gore Vidal moment over, let me say I am not quietly envious of whoever goes to dinner with Maysie.

How do you know he's not going to say: "Me! I'm what's wrong! I'm part of the problem! I'm the Man!!"

As for dinner, you sure know how to say no to a gal dontcha? ?Frown

A simple "I'm busy" would suffice. Tongue out

Papal Bull

If I could afford a ticket for the train, i'd very interested. But my workplace is cutting hours and I am tightening my belt. :(

I guess rabble needs Newman to 'balance' Linda McQuaig's radicalism. Anyway, as much as I'm excited at the prospect of eating out in Chinatown with Maysie, I cannae make it.

Michelle

Maysie, I think Tommy must have put the "not" in there by accident. :)? Who wouldn't be quietly envious of those going out to supper with you?? Speaking of which, yeah, I have to get there at 6 to start setting up.? Unless you want to have a REALLY early supper... ;)

?

Sure, it was an accident. Frown?

?

(hm, no "pouting" icon) Tongue out

?

Surely this event isn't about little ol' me! Enough thread drift! Laughing?

I just received a notice to get there on time (what, a lefty event starting on time? *ducks*) since a lot of people are expected.?

P.S. MIchelle I can't meet earlier as I have a training gig in the west-ish end of the city that ends at 4:45 or so.

Any idea when the Vancouver event may be announced?

"Maysie, I think Tommy must have put the "not" in there by accident. :)? Who wouldn't be quietly envious of those going out to supper with you?"

Was my grammar off?? To be "quietly envious" seems a little creepy to me-- like "Tim the ostler" in Alfred Noyes "The Highwayman".? To be "not quietly envious" is to proclaim one's envy loudly.

Right or wrong, my sentence structure seems to be influenced to no small percentage by my readings of Messers Lincoln, Seward and Chase, of late.

It would be grand, in my eyes, for a social intersection between Rebecca West, Michelle and what would be this unpollished igneous rock set amoungst such fine jewells.? But alas, I seem to be in the same aquatic conveyance as Papal Bull these days.? When I have time, it's because I'm not working. And that means rendering tighter the leather strap that upholds my pants.

But, we shall look forward to the happy intersection of pecuniary interests and social intercourse.

Now that you've parsed it out, for slow-witted Maysie, I don't think your grammar was off. It seems to be my reading comprehension. Embarassed

Also, I didn't understand the rest of your post #10, but I'm also very tired right now. But thanks, TommyP.

Fuck reading comprehension, can't people say what they mean.? {sticks tongue out}? I get so confused here, I admit to illegal activities all the time.

?

Wish I could make it.?? Have fun all.? (watch out, I've been known to change my mind on a whim)

?

Michelle

RP, if you do change your mind, introduce yourself to me!? (Well, if you want to.? If you want to guard your anonymity, that's okay too!)

I saw a number of babblers last night, any comments on the event? How was the drinking after, was that where the real fun happened?
